Rushcliffe District Scouts

Scouts believe in preparing young people with

#SkillsforLife

Welcome,
Rushcliffe is one of the largest Scout districts in Nottinghamshire and has 20 Scout Groups. The District is led by the District Commissioner who is supported by Assistant District Commissioners, District Leaders, Advisers and Administrators. These volunteers provide guidance and support to Scout Groups and their sections.
We support volunteers to ensure a quality balanced programme is delivered through programme resources and training. We run district events, and activities and support international activities. Scouting is available in our District for young people from 6 – 25 years old. Scouting in Rushcliffe has grown significantly over the last ten years and continues to grow. We have many opportunities for adults to volunteer in a variety of ways depending on the time you have available.

Yours in Scouting, Fiona Burrows, District Commissioner

We welcome volunteers from every community and background. You don't need to have been a Scout - you just need to believe in a more positive future and the difference we can make together.

The national award-winning training scheme for volunteers means that adults get as much from Scouting as our young people.

Scouting’s quality depends on its volunteers and our volunteers depend on Scouting to teach them the skills they need.

Our modular training scheme delivers the full spectrum of required skills. Volunteers can choose training modules that are relevant to the role that they do, ranging from leadership to running residential experiences and first aid.
